    Here, here.

There should be some kind of banned zone where you can send "unfunny/rude" posts, so that us curious people can save our sanity by being able to read it.

Come on, we promise we won't be offended! ;)

Personally I feel that jokes that are in bad taste are fine. But these kind of jokes are just plain wrong, there are people that are suffering through someone death and we should have a little respect ffs:mad:

Posting images has been disabled on the Humour board for some time now.

Incidentally, posting a "joke" (albeit that I didn't see the original posts original text) about the death of Marc Vivien Foe is just disgusting and idiotic... but that's obvious to anyone with sense and an active conscience.

What ever happened to democracy, free speech, etc..
I specifically put a warning in the subject box, yet you people opened the thread, read the joke and then complain about it.

That's like buying a snuff video and then returning it because it upsets you!

I was as upset as anybody when Foe died, but I still had a chuckle when I heard the joke. Did ye laugh at the Spoace Shuttle and Diana jokes ??

This is not a government, so democracy and free speech don't really apply

We have rules here, that everybody must abide by. Humour can be funny without being offensive. Personally, I know loads of dead baby / Diana / NASA jokes, but I would never dream of posting them here. It's just not the appropriate place for this type of thing.

And posting a caveat in the title does not give you permission to post something out of line.

As Wolf said, how would you feel if somebody posted a joke like that about someone in your family.

All we ask is that people use a little common sense, and things around here will go smoothly.

That is a matter of opinion. Judging by the the response to the joke I would say about 50% of the respondee's want to know the joke. The other 50% read the joke and complained. How many people read the subject title and didn't read the joke, I asks ya ?????

PS: Is your threat to ban me from this forum or every forum?

It would have to be there in the first place for something to 'happen' to it. It wasn't.

Putting a warning in the subject box doesn't mean you can post something that breaks the rules or is blatantly offensive.

Aren't snuff videos illegal in Ireland?
I was as upset as anybody when Foe died, but I still had a chuckle when I heard the joke.

Clearly you weren't "as upset as anybody" if you could joke about it.
Did ye laugh at the Spoace Shuttle and Diana jokes ??

    No, I found them offensive.

probably (at some, but tbh, not all of them were funny)

Yes, it is a matter of opinion. But here on boards, we have to take into account that the readership is made up of a very broad base. Readers could be anything from young children who stumble in to mature adults who can handle what they see in a rational manner. As a result of this, we have to cater to the lowest common denominator. Also, if someone finds offence at something posted here, we have to take their view seriously, and look into it. Not all posts that get reported to me warrant any intervention and get left alone - but there are one or two posts that need to be edited.

If everyone is so interested in your joke, they could always get you to pm it to them.
PS: Is your threat to ban me from this forum or every forum?

It is not a threat, just consider it a gentle warning. And no, I have no control over your access to any forum other than those that I moderate. To get a total ban requires the action of an admin.
