    Hi all,
    Could someone please tell me if there is such a thing a Digital Sat Receiver with an integrated UHF/VHF Tuner.?
    This would allow one to assign a mix of terrestrial and satellite channels to the the receivers programme numbers.

    maisflocke,

    What I am really looking for is a Digital Sat decoder box with these features not a TV.

    Thanks anyway!

    No-one would be interested in making such a device.

    Almost all Digital Satellite receivers connect to a TV (a small number used with TV Video Monitors and video projectors).

    A TV has a tuner.

    One remote (either a universal, or Sky Digital remote) controls both.

    Analog TV does not work the same way as digital at all. It would make a Satellite receiver very more expensive for hardly any customers.

    I *HAVE* a mix of numbers...

    Press TV on remote. TV jumps to last TV channel used
    1 RTE1
    2 Net 2
    3 TV3
    4 TG4
    5 PC Digital Satellite Receiver, 900 channels
    6 Digibox about 600 channels
    7 Analog Sat receiver, 13E about 18 Channels
    8 Analog Sat Receiver, 19E about 50 Channels
    9 Another Digibox about 600 channels
    10 S-VHS
    11 Another VHS

    Press Sky. TV jumps to AV SCART in
    214 = BBC1
    215 = BBC2
    ..etc

    If I use Universal Remote:
    TV = TV
    SAT1 = 13E Analog
    Sat2 = Digibox
    VCR1 = S-VHS
    VCR2 = VHS

    If I use remote for PC Satellite receiver:
    TV then Fav
    01 .. 99 TV preasigned favorites
    Radio then FAv
    01 .. 99 TV preasigned favorites
    Else
    "Select" = transparent on screen menu of station names
    Scroll and press select again.

    IF I borrow a Video Projector I can use the S-VHS to play tapes or tune TV stations. Direct Composite. DVD I use S-Video cable or Digibox etc also composite or s-Video etc.

    A digital satellite receiver connects just like VHS, DVD or Playstation to TV.

    Works best via direct cable and optionally adds one extra RF channel.

    Fair enough watty,
    Although to avoid viewers having to move between programme numbering systems, is considered as being an major reason why RTE should join BBC on FTA Sat.

    Thanks:

    Any digital receiver other than a Digibox you use whatever numbers you want.

    Almost all require two digits for favorites

    The digibox uses 3 digits or simply purple button to cycle favorites

    Few people are going to use more than 1 .. 9 for TV tuner.
