Best thing? Hmmm, I think there's a few.
    - Am friends with a girl who is a complete headcase but nobody else talks to her. And yes, she seriously is crackers!!!!!
    - Given my fair share of shoulders to cry on. I've stopped this $hit though, cuz it gave me a rep of being a 'nice guy' which seriously damaged my lovelife.
    - Loaned my mate my playstation 2 for about 4 months, and asked for nothing in return.
    - Walked my friends sister home from a nightclub when she had a bunch of sleezy fcukers all around her for most of the night and she was twisted. I still shudder to think of what could've happened there if I didn't walk her home.
Hmmmm, I'm not such a bad boy after all. Still goin' to hell though...

I have also gone the way of protecting too-drunk girls in nightclubs, and seeing them home safely. I seem to be good at that, being a scary person, according to just about everyone...

Yeahhhhh...the nice things I have done tons of those.

~I volunteered at a nursing home in high school. Made the little old ladies day to have a youngin to chat to.

~I gave and still give money every month to the Humaine Society, I love aminals.

~I pick up stray animals, clean them up and help find them a home or keep then if I fall in love with them. This is how I got my momma beagle dog :D

~I occasionally bake cookies and just go around giving them out to friends and family.

~My best friend and I found a lost kids mother in a local mall once. I will never forget how scared that littel girl looked.

~I always give to charitys. I'm a sucker for the put a coin here to help so and so with leukemia.

Well...that is all I think of off the top of my head. :D

    Recently.........more drunken females.

Took a mate's sister back to my house. It wasn't intentionally good, but she got refused, and me and another guy didn't want to finish the night so early, so we returned to my house, to partake of some funky flowers (and also cos I didn't want him bringing her home - see my journal), and left her asleep on my couch.

Turns out she was so drunk her gag reflex didn't work, and we had to turn her over and literally pour the puke out of her so she wouldn't choke.

So we were very relieved we did bring her back as God knows what would have happened had my mate just dumper her on her doorstep as was his original plan.

And she doesn't remember a thing. There was puke all over my shirt :/

Don't feel Bad , I couldn't think of anything extraordinary either ......Good or Bad . I'm not a little goodie two shoes but like to think I'm basically a decent person. So after MUCH thinking ..... these ordinary things are all I can come up with !!

    1. Took food from my own shelves to feed a friend and her family as she had no food and payday was still several days away.

    2. Pushed back my house payment to buy a months supply of dogfood for another friend since her hubbie got laid off and she had no money to buy dogfood ( she also had a show kennel with 30 + dogs )

    3. Paid a friends bogus checks so that she wouldn't have to go to jail ...... and they were at THAT point with her at the time :(

    4. Agreed to keep a friends dog since she and her hubbie was splitting and she didn't want to sell him. That was 6 years ago .... I still have the dog , she's divorced , remarried and has gotten 2 new pups over the years.

    5. Rescued a friends dogs from the pound since they escaped the yard during a big storm and her privacy fence blew over . She didnt have the money to get them out. Then agreed to keep them at my house till she could clean them up and get them back home .......turned out to be a 5 month ordeal

    6. Paid a friends child airfare so she could come see me. She didn't really want to leave him with her mother in law who was basically a weird woman , didn't blame her ;)

    7. Paid airfare on a friends dogs to bring them to me since she and her hubbie was splitting up. She couldn't find homes for them and she didn't want to put them to sleep.

    8. Agree to watch a friends children on my Birthday . She said it was only to be a 2 hours ...... I ended up with them for over 8 ! All were under 4 , one was under 6 months !

    9. Sponsored two wolves through the Wildlife Federation

Like I said ..... it's not that great , nothing to really brag about .... but there you go .... :)

Tbh I can't think of any selfless acts of kindness I have done. I have done many kind things but I'm sure there must have been things that I wanted in return for all of them.

hmmm... bit of an odd topic. Do you mean charitable acts or just mad things you've done in your life?
I tend to view people who parade their charity as "questionable" at best but in a discussion *about* the topic it seems ok...

    Personally:

Organised a 30 person walk to Galway for Temple street. 20,000IEP

Ten years helping organise the Gaelcon Charity. about 250,000 Euro.

Currently preparing to cycle to Cavan and Walk to Bray both for inner city charities.

I help St Teresas Gardens Community centre with their computers occasionally and help the police occasionally with tech stuff (resulting in a few paedos getting caught... woot \o/)

In terms of things I'm *proud* of but were just for me:

I've cycled to Turkey. Walked accross Ireland (see above). Started Boards (with others). Run my own company for 5 years and kept my sense of humour doing it :).

Pretty full life so far, I'm looking forward to the rest of it :)

    DeV.

Not exactly alot of money , just trying to bail out "friends" in need. I wouldn't exactly count them as "bought" deeds either since they approached me for the money not me going to them to give it to them. Their circumstances have put me in minor binds at times but when I compared who needed it worse ........

Like I said ....hard to think of things that you just normally would do as good deeds .....one I thought of later ......

An elderly lady "parked" her car at the grocery store and went to get out ....she didn't have it in park and it started rolling back threatening to knock her down and pull her under. I was there to push against the car long enough to allow her to get out of the way and for others to come help stop the car . We talked her into getting back in and putting it in the park gear. She was very frightened and shaking.

But it's just something that you would do anytime such things happen , it has to be dredged out of the recesses of the mind. I do it , I go on ...... life happens , I'm happy to help out when I can.
