Yeppers, I'm a judo player too. About 4 weeks ago, some geezer tried it on with me outside my local nightclub and I got him with a princely osoto-gari which left him on his ass big time. But I dunno, you'd wanna be pretty good at yer judo to make it useful in a scrap. Forget about newaza in a fight, but there are a few throws that would be good in a row (osoto-gari being one of them). Best thing you could do is grab the offending person and see if he gives you something to work with. If that fails, loaf him with a headbutt if you get the chance :-)
