first of all Hi everyone! my i'm new here

as most(all) of you i like broadband internet a lot!

i'm currently "stuck" with eircom i-stream

and i was thinking of changing to some other isp, most of you here say that utv broadband is good, but the thing is that i live in internet, and 180 hours a month is very little

i was looking for broadband isps in dublin and came across irishbroadband.ie

    512k 8:1 * ˆ 381 ˆ 48.40
    1 Mb 8:1 * ˆ 381 ˆ 84.70

    + it has no limits

i was wondering if anyone of you tried it before, if they are any good?

do you know any isp with no download limits and realistic(150 p/m max) price?

i don't play games and stuff, i just like to download and surf, so satellite would be good too but they are way expensive

Esat has no limit but lots of u said that they are very bad and slow(service), and that they cut heavy downloaders(which i am) speeds(can i get more info on this please? what u mean they cut?)

utv broadband is good, but the thing is that i live in internet, and 180 hours a month is very little

your mistakeing their clicksliver broadband with their anytime dial up their :)

utv Esat and Eircom broadband has a 5 gig cap around 160 meg a day per 31 day month between 42 to 50 euro a month

utv dial up anytime product has 180 hours on 56k per month no sure how much it is

Irish boardband is wireless which is line of site and damn damn expensive to set up their site says 381 euro! their prices after that arent bad and the person per line ration is good compeared to others (esat utv eircom netsourse = 48:1 compeared to 8:1)

however if your going for uncapped broadband dont need 1 meg speed and want to save yourself a lot of the set up money go to netsources. They have no cap either check out their site http://www.netsource.ie
    :)

i should point out netsources is around 65 euro a month but depending on where you live could be a lot easyer to get

btw this should be in the broadband forum :) and all the rest of you questions has already been asked their :)

np where all here to find out about some kind of decent internet after all

if you are going with netsource they just got 155meg of bandwith !!!! good pings 41ms or so and unlimited cap not bad at all ................ but remember it is 60 euro amonth or so (not 45 as it says on the site).

the only problem with netsource is if it'll be available in an area i'm going to move in :)

155 mb bandwidth? what u mean?

60? compare to 110 i'm paying now for limited broadband, that's nothing!

155 mb bandwidth? what u mean?

means they got a extra 155meg of bandwitdth on top of the 12 they already have more bandwith = better speed/ping/dl speed

so when people are rideing the service like a donkey it does run like one

and i dont mean better speed as in above 512 i mean more consistent speed pings and download
