I vaguely remember, when the 64 was as good as finished, a last game or two were released. It had very good graphics, and I think rainbows may have featured.

I can't remember if I had to mail order it at the time do to it being less than mainstream by then.

    Anybody?

"Mayhem in Monsterland" I do belive, releaed by the "Electric Brothers" or some such.

Only game to ever score 100% in Commodore Format magazine.

Thanks Bud! I Don't suppose you remember a sequel, or some kind of follow up. I think at the time they tried to reinvigorate the whole scene! -It's a shame they lrft it so late to try!

Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant game........ Its true what they said on that page - the Rowlands Brothers consistently made fantastic games.

Anyone know if John and Steve are still in the business?

I just got all the old games on abandonware! What would be the best emulator, and what should I be careful of when starting it?

I got down winvice, but the screens are garbled.

Thanks TinCool, but every time I try to load a game, it doesn't, then crashes my pc when I try to close it down. Bah.

Thereis something bugging me. There was a great game on the Softaid Compilation for the commodore 64. It was like Space Invaders but with a blue & grid on a black screen. It was a pretty great game.

Gumshoe was on this compilation as well.

    Cork,

The game you are referring to on the softaid compilation is called 'Beam Rider'. I had that one, loved Gumshoe, Fred, Flak and that moon landing one........

There was another cool game on softaid, kinda like millenium 2.2. Had great classical title music that I recall. Can't remember the name of it though.

LOL, I dug up my old Mayhem tape. the inlay card's funny. the colour codes on the copy protection sheet, back before high res colour copying I suppose! John and Steve Rolands rocked, they should have a web page set up for us diehard fans!

here's some of their diary from CF
