Eircom lines test?

    Is there any way to get a test done on them to find out whats on the ie line splitters and the such?

    You will only have a splitter on your line if have already dsl this is what brings DSL to your Premises Little white box with 2 holes

    What the guru is calling a splitter, is usually called a filter, or low band pass filter.

    Dragon may be talking about pair gain equipment ? I don't think at the moment Eircom have to tell you if you have one on your line or not.

    I doubt if there is consumer equipment that can be used to test a line from a client end to determine what's on it, but I could be wrong, I don't know much about telecoms/phreaking.
