Is there anywhere you can rent 5x4 cameras in ireland? Or get a good second hand one?

Also in there anywhere that will produce large format colour photography prints?

I don't know anywhere you could rent a camera, but you might want to check out some of Calumet's own-brand ones to buy. They're fairly reasonably priced. This rail camera would suit studio use, and this would be nice as a field camera.
As for processing, I know Film Bank in Lwr. Baggot St. do E-6 processing of sheet film. I'm not sure about prints, but they might be worth checking out.
By the way, this is something I'd be interested in myself. If you come up with anything, you might post your findings here?

I know this suggestion is not exactly up to my usual high moral standards ;) but you could always buy a large format camera from the likes of Ffordes ( www.ffordes.com ) or MXV ( www.mxv.co.uk ) and then return it when finished. You should obviously make sure that you return within the allotted exchange period.
So effectively you will be paying for rent in the guise of a shipping charge each way.

Ffordes large format page is here:

If you'd consider building your own, there is a kit available from Bender Photographic. But, honestly, I think it works out just about as expensive as buying one. It's just that you'd have the fun of building one if you wanted.
