Condom Sizes?

Okay, just started seeing a girl that I met on the net a few weeks back. Our personalities clicked, sense of humour practically identical. She knew what I looked like as I'd told her I play in a band and she came along one night, unknown to me, only telling me afterwards that she had been there. So, last week we met for drinks. There was mutual physical attraction as well as mental/emotional attraction.

She came back for "coffee", one thing lead to another and we got down to it.

I had bought a pack of condoms out of the pub in anticipation. Getting these things on has always been a problem. I know how to do it. It's just the thing is, they're always too damn small and tight. Take forever to roll down, and usually by the time it is totally unravelled, things are somewhat deflated.

I had never thought of myself as big, always that I was just average size or more likely smaller than average. None of my past gf's ever commented on its size in comparison to other guys, only saying that they liked its size. So anyway, now I'm told that I'm much larger than average, both in terms of length and girth. She also seems to be 99% sure that condoms come in a variety of sizes. I've bought from pretty much every type of outlet that sells condoms in the past, and don't recall ever seeing them in different sizes.

Now, another thing that happened, is that during sex, the condom came off completely, and was lost inside of her. Had to go fishing for it, but did it while arousing her, so as not to make it like a trip to the Gynae. I would expect that if it were too loose a fit, that would happen, but not when its as tight as it was. I think what caused this was the fact that it didn't reach fully to the base of my shaft, only to a little over half way.

So, do condoms come in different sizes? And how can you tell what size is the right size, or is it just a case of trial and error?

Most condoms are around 170 - 190 mm long however there are some larger ones on the market eg the Durex "easy-on" range which are 205 mm long. They're also a bit wider than average. Avoid Durex Avanti though - they're short and very narrow. They're actually wider than most condoms but cause they're made of polyurethane not latex they don't stretch like normal condoms so in effect they're a tighter fit.

The Durex easy ons are probably the biggest condoms you'll come across in a shop in this country. Not much of a selection here when it comes to larger condoms.

But if you're willing to purchase condoms online you'll have a better choice. Look out for the Trojan Magnum XL condom which is significantly longer and wider than average. You can buy them at www.bigboycondoms.co.uk

That thing of them coming off is partly down to her as well.... you know how deep you can go and all that. But, also if the joes are a tad small then it can kinda 'ride' its way up till it comes off, where as if its bigger then your penis will silde more init and you wont have the same problems

Seems like a good idea but it is actually a big no no

as ferdi said the two condoms rub against each other and rip.

If you are worried use something like Durex Extra Safe

I would also strongly advise not using 2 condoms they do indeed cause friction and rip easier

The red mates condoms "natural" variety are wider and flared. The normal ones don't go on me at all these are fine.

Id say its more of a shape problem, My aunt worked in a condom testing factory, and primary testing was shape, then size and durability.
You can get custom made condoms, you have to get fitted, and it'll cost a bomb. But if you can them to fit like a glove, apparently theres no loss of sensation.

You guys have obviously never experienced the sensation of a condom that's too small for your c*ck. Guess you guys must be on the small side eh? It's irrelevant whether a condom can hold 3 litres of water or whether you can get it over your head what matters is how the thing feels on your cock.

If the condom is too narrow you'll feel strangled, will probably lose your erection and the condom is in danger of breaking or slipping off . You may not even be able to get it on in the first place. And a condom that's too short will keep riding up on your cock, ends up around your cockhead and is in danger of coming off completely. You just can't relax if you're using a condom that's too small and it tends to "kill the mood" For guys who are well hung (over 8 inches long and/or 6inches circumference) standard sized condoms are just about useless whereas something like a Trojan Magnum XL is ideal and very comfy.
