4ohm vs 8 ohm

    i'm getting a 4 ohm head , but my cabinet is 8 ohm , will i damage my equipment ??

    Nope,
    It will drive the 8 ohm, but it will be messed up if the head was 8 and the cab was 4.

    AFAIK, a 4 ohm head can drive a 4, 8 or 16 ohm cab. A 8 ohm head can drive 8 or 16 and a 16ohm head can only drive 16ohm. I think that's the way it goes but I really suggest you check that I don't have the facts backwards. You're best bet is to have a 4 ohm cab but I think you should be alright.
