    Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a small Windows gui messaging utility that acts a bit like "net send". Basically I have a small LAN and wish to communicate to/from other computers on the LAN passing messaging. Any suggestions or something like ICQ? net send doesn't quite work because one of the machines has XP Home (no domains) and the other XP Pro.

    Thanks.

    shameless plug
    http://www.gnuwin.org/index.html

It's a freeware CD - I'll be downloading it anyway - cos use many of the apps on it already...
will have a look and see if anything suitable on it

I thought I had found Powertoys 1.0 for XP home - you know the one where tweakui allows you to add domain settings to XP home - but It looks lik M$ fixed that feature in a service pack...

    Thanks Midnight,

I'm currently looking at MSN 6 preview.. but I'd wish there was a non-microsoft lightweight version out there somewhere..... :(
