    ...you know, the one used on items with glass screens to stop it getting scratched.

    What's that plastic called, and where can I get some?

    Like Shrink-Wrap? There is a machine in most big record stores that can shrink-wrap stuff.

    Naw, it's not that. It's often on watch glass etc when brand new. And it clings. (No, it ain't cling-film, or at least not that thin)

    Yep, I know what you mean but don't know what it's called I'm afraid.

    However you can bet your bottom that its probably made by 3M as they seem to made everything thin and sticky....(make up your own joke here)...

    There's a place in Dublin called Scapatape (014502977) or another in Naas called BKM tapes (045 876559) that may be able to help...otherwise google for 3M in Ireland, there's a place in Galway but I can't remember the name who distribute all sorts of tapes and films for 3M.
