Hey there,

just took a glance at the board and it's full of rubbish, so here's a post to do with quake for a change (even from a retired old fool <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)">)

Quake Tip:
I don't know if this works in quake 2, but I guarantee you this will improve your quake 1 shot on a LAN 100% (well, if it's crap anyway). Basically, start a game with some bot's (reapers, omi's frogs it doesn't matter). Play them like a cheating swede (with host_framerate set to 0.008 or somthing). If you do that for a while, recording demo's and watching your own demos, you should find that when you play them at normal speed your reactions, shot and dodging are all improved). The effect is temporary, but is a great way to warm up for a lan match or get used to a new mouse/sensitivity. The shrinks say it trains your hand into how it should move to have a perfect shot.

Try it and let me know if you notice a difference.

Well what about making the game faster and then playing for 30 min....then try it back at the old speed.

Woohoo, slo-mo Quake, Thats what I have to put up with every time I play against bots and the screensaver goes off, half speed or something, it makes it much easier to play, don't know bout the improving ure aim bit in full speed Quake though.
