Seems like a very talented youngster.

    Djemba coming later this week.

And Ronaldinho, will they ever sign him?! Not for that price...much much less.

Liverpool tried to sign him at one stage too...seems a bit strange though that such a 'talented player' would be languishing in the reserves at Sunderland...

PSG are in dire straits financially - Ronaldinho will leave for alot less, they're just trying to get Real into a bidding war...

    good new signings for united

Hes only 20. he is a talented youngster. Why would ferguson buy him if he didnt have potential?

I dont know how bad PSG are but Canal are raising 20mill for them and apparently is why the price went up so bad. I know for a fact, that Utd will not pay anything close to that for Ronaldinho...no way.

He might turn out to be a good signing , who knows, but lets face it, Ferguson has been as bad as Houllier with some of his signings...Dublin, Taibi, Bosnich, Fortune, Forlan etc... not everything he touches turns to gold.

Ferguson has signed a lot of players who either had no potential, or didnt fulfil it...that said, Houllier wanted Bellion as well, so they obviously see something in him though!!

Well first of all, finding a keeper to fullfill schmeichel was not gonna be easy. Its still not done in my opinion. But yes, Taibi was ****. Bosnich was good...i cant remember why, but what happened him? Was it cos he was ****?

Secondly, Fortune is a very good player.

Forlan is a good player with potential but he is only adapting. Give the guy some time. Its evident the guy has potential.

If I do recall, Bosnich ate all the pies... :D

You're right about replacing Schmeichel though - there are very few good keepers available, just ask Arsenal.. Fortune is mediocre at best - hes definitely not good enough to hold down a place in the first eleven...

And as far as I was aware, Forlan is being touted around Europe?? Which would mean even Ferguson doesnt rate him...could be wrong on that one, but am fairly certain I read it somewhere...

Anyhoo, only the new season will tell how inspired a signing Bellion turns out to be...

About Forlan, Sevilla were willing to pay 8mill for him..actually what am i talking about, it wasnt Sevilla, it was........ **** it, i cant remember a few of those spanish teams anyway.

He is a good player though. Done **** all as far as scoring goals goes but he is a nice player to have.

I doubt Bellion will even be in the first eleven at all. He may get on the bench...hopefully he will turn out excellent like O Shea has done...

And Fortune will never be in the first 11 when Giggs is there. He is good enough to play though.

I wouldnt be surprised if Darren Fletcher is picked to replace Becks on the right from what ive heard. Apparently he is turning out very well.

    Now lets analize this.

Dublin: Went from united after they released him because he broke both legs, landed at villa where he has achived one of the highest goal scoring avrages for an english player of all time.
Looks like united just let a good player go.

Taibi: Has 2 bad games, united log him to Atlanta on the cheap, he goes on to have the 2nd best clean sheet record his first year back in Italy, the best avrage the year after and the 3rd best last season, again, looks like united made a mistake letting a great player go.

Fortune: would be great in spain or germany, where he wuold have space, not a bad player, infact he is quite good, just not suited to english football, and again if he was sooooooooo bad why did united fight tooth and nail to keep him last summer?

Forlan: Well, freggie did **** up here, he bought a left winger and expected him to play up front.
Every time he came on for his country in the world cup Recoba moved up front with dario silva and Forlan played on the left drifting inside, did very well.

As for bosnich, for all the **** ups he has made, he is still a good keeper, you just have to look at his records at Villa before he moved, maybe he didnt like man utd's setup, and he wasn't doing to bad at chealse before he fell out with the manager and board.

None of the players you listed can be called "bad" players, none of them are amazing, but what do you expect, none of them cost very much, infact, thier comined price comes to less than one third of that payed for Rio, who in my opinion, was a bad signing at his price considering they could have gotten Nesta for E30mil, Cannavaro for E21mil or Ayala for E12mil, all of which were, and will continue to be, far beter players Than Rio.

Rio wouldn't make the first team of the top 4 teams in Itlay or the top 3 in Spain, for 30mil he should be a automatic starter for any team.

I'm 18, and yeah, what I said about Taibi is true, he is a very solid keeper.

Thats a very interesting comment after all the flaming that went on about Houlliers signing like Diouf, Cheryou and Diao. People were sayign (even here) that they were a waste. Nobody gave them a chance even though they showed some forms of potential. I have high hopes that Diouf and Cheryou will come good. I don't know about Diao yet but we'll see :)

Diouf is a deadly player. he will become real good. Hes just young and stupid and gettin used to the fact he can buy things he wants...hes a deadly player

Diouf is a complete waste of space - and a waste of good money. Whether he comes good on the pitch or not isnt an issue, the guy's a major disruption behind the scenes, and was responsible for a huge split between team members last season...

Cheyrou will hopefully come good - the guy needs to get games first though.
