I have done that. I combined them after the 2 power supplys inside.

    Combined in what way Mossy?

At home our aerials for Truskmore for VHF & UHF both require masthead amps, but only one power supply is used. Provided that the total current drawn by the amplifiers does not exceed the maximum current that is capable of being drawn out of the power supply you should be OK.

You then need a grouped combiner box to take the two aerial feeds into the one downlead.

i was thinking about connecting the 2 power supplies at the back of the tv so that i will have only 1 lead going into it. at the moment i find myself having to swap them around. if there is a better way let me know

I have combined the two power supplies at back of tv with just a Y splitter/combiner.

Pastic Y splitters are pure junk. Screened metal ones are far better

What exactly are you combining? What's being received from each aerial?

If one is for VHF, the other UHF, then all you need is a UHF/VHF combiner. And if you get a combiner with power-pass on both legs (Triax and Johansson do them) then the one Power Supply would do if combiner is wired between amps and PSU (assuming it's fit to drive both amps).

You could do similar if you're combining Group A and Group C/D for example with the correct combiner. Any of these combiners should cost around €15 or less.
