    im trying to buy a new lens for my SLR as well as a digital camera and although i know a few places, im not quite sure about where to have a look...
    so if anyone could suggest some places that'd be great!
    Im kinda new to this camera thing...

    You will more than likely pay way over the odds if you purchase camera equipment in Ireland. Best bet is over the web. See the sticky post in this forum for links.

    If you travel to the UK much, Dixons in the UK airports often have good sales on digital cameras, but you would need to know what you were looking for and what the going rates were first (see some of the UK camera mags for prices). I saved about 300 euro on a digital camera in Manchester airpots compared to Dublin prices !

    see i wouldnt be able to travel or order on the internet, cos im 16 and dont have a credit card, so really my only option is a shop.

    I was looking for a 28-300 mm lens for my minolta.
    Some nice people in Conns Cameras have put an order on one for me so thats sorted.
    Im still looking for somewhere to get a digital...
    I was asking all this cos i only knew like 3 or 4 places to get stuff...so thank you for being all helpful!
