Now that it's the strawberries and cream season and Neighbours have gone for 2 weeks why does it go off on RTE as well? Is it a rights issue? Does someone know the reason out there.

RTE may broker their Neighbours deal through the BBC (considering that BBC pay a big whack of the cost of making it) and I presume that hte BBC don't want RTE going ahead of them during Wimblers.

Neighbours does stop at Christmas in Australia, yes, but I think also that the episodes shown by the BBC (and presumably RTE) are slightly different from those shown in Oz, and this can mean fewer, but slightly longer episodes. That's how it used to be, anyway.

I was asking a simple question and some people have nothing better to contribute but being rude, perhaps they should keep it to themselves.

The BBC put money towards the making of Neighbours?????

Can you imagine if RTE put money towards Home And Away:confused:

Or is it just that the BBC pay more for the rights.

Has Five caught up with Home And Away on N2?

Yep, its cheap enough as a result. They pay Grundy in Australia to do it, but not as much as Network TEN there.
