NWN - Game Server

The NS server is marked man We've three NS servers running at the moment and thats two to many. So I'm planning on dropping the one on games2 and putting back the old nwn server we had running before. This time though it'll stay up perment even while the campaign games are running and will use the same characters as the portal server.

So what fellow sword and axe swingers can u do for me, well thats simple we'll need something we can put on it until such time as we get around to writting something ourselves. A persistent world like nordock (not quite so crap would be good). Ideas pls.

What I think I'll do is reduce the two big servers somewhat and replace the portal server with one of the ones above. That way we can all have our toys and play with them.

I think we'll go with The Stygian Abyss and update it slightly to include the portals to the campaign servers.

This will mean a wipe of the portal/game server player vault. It should give you something more to do with your time while awaiting games to start.

I'll post any thing you need on darkkeep when I do it.

Can you include a stone of recall? Because if we are all off pissing about the world waiting for the game to start.. it would suck to have to wait for everyone to come back to the start..

ok, played it for a bit now: a very nice module!

for your character-planning:
- no rest-restrictions
- mages will be quite useful this time (not going to spoil the surprise why thou)
- expect to only carry your equipment. You won't hurl around heavy loot
- clerics aren't as super-useful anymore
- you can specialize in any weapon you want without fearing you won't find one of those
- a good party is a must here

Possible "good parties" include one CQB-specialist and one ranged specialist (preferably magical user like sorc/wiz)

Oh, and one last hint: don't sell anything if you don't know what you'll buy!

I would but im still updating to version 1.30 and i still have to get the hak for tonights module, damn real life keeps interfering with my RPG time. Ill probly go on as soon as i have everything dwnloaded but dont hold your breath im on a 56k

hmmm... does the game-server crash or is it being shut down? It's down again, but was up this afternoon. Is the module causing it to crash or was it taken down on purpose?

Seems both the nwn and bf1942 servers went down, both back up and running.

hmm, there might be something wrong with the servers...

NWN gameserver is down, so is the NS-server. I don't have the bf1942-server on my monitoring-list, but my guess is that it's status is comparable to that of the other two servers.
