I was in Douglas cinema to see 2Fast today, and was delighted to see the box office turning away a bunch of young fellas away because they were too young. I thought : "Great, no talking, no crackling, nobody running to the toilet every two minutes and no 'Ohhh' every time someone in a bikini comes on". That was until I went in and sat down and saw 5 young girls (about 11), and 3 boys came in 5 minutes after the film started.

    Y oh y can't they obey the law? :(

You deserve to have had a man with a mobile that went off every five minutes, and a woman with a screaming baby sitting either side of you for going to see that film in the first place.

I'm with you on this one man, there are too many kids in the cinema nowdays and its a pain in the ass when they won't shut up or turn there phones off. They do it in my local cinema for 18's flicks but thats it theres no way of checking if there over 15 as ID's aren't issued in this country

you deserve it IMO for giving your money to the makers of a film as sh!te as that, I mean I dont mind bad films...but bad films that attract filthy flea ridden , greasey haired , loud , big headed , abusive , ugly , idiotic , racist , small willied , tracksuit wearing , cant talk properly , rob your mobile phone to buy 25 dutch gold which they go on to drink in a bush SCUMBAGS !!!!

FACT: 100% of scumbags favourite movie is The fast and the furious or its sequel...

to you sir I say suck it *drops pants*

Yes. One muppet got up to go to the toilet in the middle of the freeway scene (about 10 mins into the movie), then spent ages trying to find her seat when she came back, only to go back out and get some poor sod with a torch to help her find it.

Given, I havn't seen it, I havn't even seen the 1st one. Because I had the good sense to know they both are shi*e! Don't believe me? Disagree with me? Fine, let time tell, dig up this thread and quote me whenever Van Diesel wins a best actor oscar, or when John Singleton wins a life time achievement!

You know something, up untill The Fast And The Furious I thought Vin Diesel was quite a decent actor. Saving Private Ryan where he tried to save the little girl and bring her with him only to end up shot by a German sniper. Class preformance. And pretty much all of Pitch Black was quite brilliant. He was honestly a decent actor, and I'd certainly like to see him in a better role sometime soon.

As for my sixth sense with a film like this? Honestly... Would you need a Crystal Ball to know whether you'd like the latest Sanda Bullock drivel!? Or the next wonderfully oh so joyous J-Lo crap!?

It dosen't matter what film he went to see, the problem is kids going into films they shouldn't and annoying everyone else with there talking and phones ringing every five minutes.

Oh Jesus! Someone couldn't find their seat! Call in the national ****ing guard! Someone had to go to the freaking toilet! Would you like a tactical nuclear missle!?

Have you read this thread at all? Hmmm?

Personally, I couldn't care if there was a flood of 8 year olds who came in to watch the next Friday the 13th movie, as long as I have my peace watching the film. And I'm pretty damn sure that none of us here are innocent of seeing something we were that bit too young to see, so cut the kids some slack.

Honestly, I'm getting sick of these threads moaning about the fat guy who farted in the cinema, or the kid who got up during the film a few times because he had a big coke, or because some moany git cant move to another seat!

Honestly, last time I had any annoyance in the cinema was when I went to see Galaxy Quest. It seems like people are just going to the cinema so they can point out noisy/gassy/annoying people who you probably wouldn't even notice if you weren't looking for them! And before you say it, yes I've been to the cinema in Dublin a few times, I find it's great after a long night out to relax the next day.

    ...

My god, I am one arguementative bastard.

It's a good thing you were never young, anyway how many of you went into a film you wern't meant to when you were younger? I do hate people with phones, and girls ****ing off to the toilets every 5 minutes, but what can you do about it:)

Ah, but you can imagine it with my short guide:
    • Think of "Point Break"
    • No Patrick Swayze or Keanu Reeves
    • Cars instead of surfboards
    • One hot girl, one with a funny chin
    • "Through the machinery" shots robbed from Fincher movies (and other directors but it's pretty recognisable as having a Fincher look)
    • Same beginning, same basic plot, same basic end as Point Break (but not a "whoah" or "dude" in sight)
That's all you need to know.

Im still fairly young, I generally dont mind kids in films they aint old enough to be in- just hate SCUMBAGS in cinemas ( scumbags are NOT people for the record ) who go there to do everything other than watch the movie...

but yea well said Angelwhore :) I v.rarely get disturbed in the cinema

Eep. I retract that statement. For i had a mega-arguement with some1 before posting.

tbh if your watching some muppet find his seat rather then the film for more then 3 seconds it's not a great film.

There wasnt much to be ruined in Matrix Reloaded methinks...

    /me awaits the flamage

Lol - you agreed with me, then did a complete turn around AW :)

As for the film itself, I think it was better than the first one, though the only reason I went to see it was for the pretty cars.

There was a tread recently slamming some american critic for critisising films he didn't even see, and I hate that myself. Please don't berate me for seeing a 'crap' film you know nothing about. It's not like you can tell much by the ads. That Asian girl on the billboards hardly features at all, for example. I'm not going to see Bruce Almighty because I think it looks crap, but a co-worker saw it and enjoyed it. Different strokes for different folks and all that.....
