Damn straight! Meself, the two younger brothers and a couple of mates are going. The brother won two tickets on Dad Rock a while back and Gawd Bless 'im he's given it to me (I think :p )

Lookin' forward to seeing Lynyrd Skynyrd more to be honest!

Will report back after the event. superconnor, let me know what you think of it...

well i thought that the concert was most excellent. left at half three landed at the poiint at half 6, in that heat wasnt much fun :(

however i have to say the bands wer amazing. lynrd skynrd wer brill, however i think i enjoyed deep purple a bit more i think.
the medley of intros was cool, as was High Way Star, prob the best song i think.

left at about half 12 got home at half 3. bed at 4, 4 hours sleep then school!!!!

great day. o yeah, i got Lynrd Skynards Guitarists pick and Enda (friend) got Deep Purples Bassist Pick!

Have to say the entire concert was fantastic.

We nearly missed it all though. What with having a break-down on the way there. We got caught on the motorway a few miles outside the city (We had to pull over on the hard shoulder once the fan belt came off and the water pump nearly exploded in our Hi-Ace Taxi  ...directly under one of those “Welcome to Dublin signs”…which was nice!)

Like I said before the brother won two tickets off Dad Rock so him and my other brother got the privilege of having to sit in the last row of the balcony right at the back for Skynyrd, while the rest of us were as close to that barrier at the front as we could be, but they managed to sneak down for Deep Purple.

As for the concert, I thought Lynyrd Skynyrd were amazing. Great versions of Call Me The Breeze, That Smell and *but, of course* Free Bird. Also thought the Jim Beam guitar was a touch of class!

Didn’t know what to expect from Deep Purple but was pleasantly surprised. Space Truckin’, all the intro’s (Back In Black :D), Hush, Black Night and Smoooke Onnnn The Waaater were absolutely class.

I got a few pictures of the Skynyrd lads when the four of them came to the front of the stage and the singer (Van Zant) with the mic in the air. And a pretty cool one of the drummer from Deep Purple lit up by a dazzling white light (although I dunno how good they are gonna come out, the ould camera was making a few funny sounds at me…none of them good!)

Superconor, if you want any pics I’ll send ‘em on, if you want? Did you take any?

They got me the tee. And a pretty damn cool one at that. It's the one with the bike on the front of it. Thing is I owe them money now. :D
