Changing From Eircom To Esat BT/UTV

    apologies if this is the wrong forum.

    if i was to change my voice calls from Eircom to Esat BT or UTV would Eircom be obliged to remove the splitter from my line. i am getting desperate

    Nope, sorry. Eircom are only obliged to unencumber lines if it's being unbundled by another operator.

    He would have to specifically choose the ESAT Business ADSL product which is provided over LLU. (I think the UTV business product will be a resold version of this so the same thing applies)

    The ESAT and IOL residential products are resold Eircom RADSL. Eircom will barely test the line, never mind remove the crap.
