IQCL WEEK 3

Last week uNT agreed that we could play with 3 lpbs. I think that if both clans consent to this kind of thing than it sholud be alowed go ahead. B0llix to the rule of only 2 lpbs!

UNT aggreed to play AGAINST 3 lpbs. Not with.

They had *none* of their own.

They did so because it was taken AGES to get the game underway.

It is not up to UNT or any other clan to arbitrarily decide they dont want a rule enforced even though it APPEARS to rule in their favour.

From what I saw you were lucky you didnt have another player in there. Bigger frag difference.
Sorry but when I asked ye to come to irc and get things sorted all but one of ye decided to ignore my request. Subsequently you couldnt get the proxy to work in Trinity which is not our problem.

might I add to Devore's comments on how not to be a muppet clan is not to use cheapo 2.4, and then expect everyone to wait while u get it DCC'd - it's dead annoyin. Ta

Ok, the level this week is everyones favourite/hated E4M3.

Week 4 will be UK4 and week 5 will be Androm 9

A word on organisation.
Its true that this years competition is more haphazardly organised. Mostly this is because people no longer want to dedicate their entire social life to running stuff for the community. After last weekends messin I can understand why.

Some pointers on how not to be a MUPPET Clan.

1. Be on irc 15 mins before your game.
2. Being "on irc" while playing CA is no good. All I can say is that there were some muppets of the highest order last week who didnt listen to anything being said and then ran around like spas trying to get it together before the match. They lost. Badly.

3. Identify yourselves by putting your team moniker before your name in IRC. eg: CG-DeVore

4.Dont get on the server untill told too. Sometimes you get the UBER-MUPPETS who will sit on the server while the rest of their clan runs around frantically trying to find them.

5.Have your lpbs and hpbs sorted before getting on the server. Last week we had 5 ppl on the server bickering about who was going to play and who wasnt. Meanwhile one member of the other clan couldnt get on and thought the game had started without him. Needless too say he was screaming blue murder!

6.DONT leave it till the match is supposed to start to work out how a proxy works. (Clan Bear are you listening to me!?). If you need to use a proxy to generate lag then make sure you know how to do it properly BEFORE the agreed time of the game and DONT spend that time free-for-alling.

7. Clan Leaders take charge. If your clan doesnt have a leader, elect someone to take control and organise the clan. This is not the IQCL admins job.

Finally a word of thanks. Admining for GLOW and UNT was a pleasure last week. Both teams were online well before the time of their respective games. Both had clearly identified themselves. Both leaders communicated with myself clearly.
Not surprisingly with this level of clan discipline, both won their games.
