Grundig GDS 3000 Blank screen but no sound problem,any ideas please??

My GDS 3000 from Grundig started acting up. Ghosting then followed by the picture disappearing completely. Is this a power supply problem and would this be the answer? A friend can install the new capacitors so thats no problem. All info welcome.:mad:
