I'll be moving into a new house shortly and will be holding some lan-partys in the new year (probably monthly).

My new pc is on order and i'm keeping the old one to act as server since no-one offered me a decent trade-in price for it.

I'm looking to get an 8 to 16 port hub (10mb is all i can afford unless someone can suggest otherwise) and two decent network cards that will autosense between 10/100 in case i decide to upgrade the hub at some stage.

Current budget is around £150 for the cards and hub.

    Any suggestions?

I'd rather buy locally if at all possible but Simply Computers in England seems to be the only one in my price range.

Also any ideas on where to look for tips about building your first network?

    All the best,
    Psycho
