Court Question

I don't know if this is the right forum so feel free to move it.

I have a Personal Injury case coming up in the High Court soon and I would like to go and see how these types of cases work in the court, how would I go about doing this?

Can I find out when and in which court a personal injury case will be heard?

Can i just go in and watch, do I have to do anything to get in?

Is there anything else I should do?

Also kind or related Can anyone tell me what "Traversed seriatim" means I can't find it in any of the online legal dictionaries.

Personal Injury claims in the High Court????
Forgive my shock, but I thought that claims like that were held in Circuit Courts unless it was something along the lines of a class action suit against the Government.

And as far as I know, you just wander in and you can observe any courtroom proceedings that aren't being held in camera.

Traversed seratim - well, seratim means in series and to traverse is to go back and forth, so I guess it means that statements are taken from each side in an alternating fashion, but I'm an engineer, not a barrister...

you go to the court house and find the information desk.

The person there will tell you what cases being heard that day are open to the public and a summary of the matter in question before the court.

So did I untill my solicitor said we will be suing in the High Court. I am suing my former employer 'cause while working for them my eye ball was cut in two.

Is there any rules can you just arrive and leave when you want.

It's to do with the amount. I'm not sure exactly what it is now but it used to be £30000+ was a High Court action. Up to £2000 (iirc) was District and £2000-£30000 in the Circuit.
