Planning on going on one of them sunny holidays with a few mates. Now I hear that majorca or Crete are good but I'd like some other suggestions.

We're looking for something that has both good nightlife and something to do during the day like boat cruise or scub diving.

Any and all suggestions welcomed as well as hotel/ apartment recommendations.

    Thanks.

Croatia is supposed to be good, never been though. Supposed to have cool beaches and would be cheaper than somewhere like Crete. Not sure about the nightlife - maybe someone else has info on that?

I thinking about Croatia as a holier and from what I can see it's big on German and Austrian tourists. I dunno if that's a good or bad thing!

Not sure about how much english they speak either. Then again hand signals are understood nearly everywhere especially when money's involved.

Learn the words for your beverage of choice and hold up fingers to indicate how many you want, After that it's pointing all the way:)

No idea what the main languages are but generally eastern europeans speak several and English isn't usually a problem.

Croatia, well thats one we didn't think off, but is Croatia not in or near Russia?

If it is then won't be able to go get a tan on a nice sandy beach. We want a nice sunny beach:D

Croatia is as far south as Italy and a little further East - you can get boats directly between the two across the Adriatic. You would definitely have a good chance of getting a tan. I looked it up on the internet a while back and some of the beaches and islands look amazing.

Not too close to Russia although you would be surprised how warm Russia can be in the Summer - extremes all year round.
