    Welcome Eddie,

BBC is not FTA on Sky yet. By all accounts it is coming on the 10th of July. Some of the frequencies are known at the moment, but not all of them.

If you look at the top two threads here you will get all the info you require.

The funny numbers are PID needed for some receivers.

On Digibox Go Services Setup Add Channels
    Digibox need:
    Frequency
    Polarity H OR V
    Symbol Rate 22,000
    FEC 5/6

Note defaults are SR 27,500 and FEC 2/3

    Then Scan

Press yellow button on items you want to add

    press select,
    wait
    press select

Then Services "other channels" to view.

I'd only add BBC Radio (except 5Live) for now.

BBC Parliament is also FTA now. see lyngsat

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere and buried within the threads which postulate how the BBC FTA EPG and/or extra channels will most likely be accessible come July 10th....

    but ...

with regards to BBC Radio 5 Live and 5 Live Xtra
Has there been a general assumption that with the lifting of encryption from the Beeb TV channels (such at BBC 3 and Cbeebies, etc) that 5 live and 5live xtra would most likely be also for the first time be accessible on a Sky box with Irish sub card (via extra channels) or on a rebooted box with no card ? Or, is there any line of thought that 5 live might remain blocked entirely within ROI after the July 10th transition?

5 Live and 5 Live Extra will both be FTA

But it looking more likely that you'll need to add everything via "Add Channels" and view via "Other Channels"

I predict at least 90% of people with Digiboxes won't bother and will keep paying Sky for 214 and 215.

I mean how many people outside this forum have the existing FTA BBC added?

How many of you reading this have never watched CSPAN US feeds on BBC Parliament or the other non-Houses stuff it shows?

How many readers listen to R4, R1, R2, R.Ulster, R6 1 Xtra etc (always been FTA) on an ROI card only Digibox via Other channels?

I predict that if Sky doesn't continue to pay the BBC something for BBC ONE and TWO being available in ROI, the BBC will demand they are removed from the ROI EPG. It would save them money, for a start.

Or the BBC might not realise....

You'd be surprised! I was surprised to learn the amount of households that had sussed how to watch ITV, during the time it was working via Other Channels on ROI cards! ;)

My bbc radio stations suddenly stopped working the other day. Well, first bbc7 and radio1 stopped working about a week ago, then world service.
    Anyone else have this problem?
I've added thema gain but radio1 and world service still dont work, they say no satellite signal received or in the EPG it just says >@.

Don't forget that the BBC channels have moved to Astra 2D so their frequencies have changed.

The BBC Radio Channels can now be found at

    10803 H
    SR 22000
    FEC 5/6

Thanks for that, I think thats the info I used when I added them in again last night, and Radio1 and world service still don't work. Can you get both of those stations yourself?
