    Hello all, few questions here..

    1. How do I know what exchange they are talking about in my area can I check.. because I know there is an exchange in castletry limerick (right where I live) and then there is one or 2 others that are around limerick.. now I would much prefere that I am getting it from the nearest one possible considering the fact its R. adsl.. so the nearer I am the better.

    2. If this is the same service as Netsource will this just result in the same poor service the current netsource customers are getting?

    3. When they say the broad band modem is included.. are we just renting it or is it ours fully?

ns is uncapped so ppl dl what they want, when they want and it degrades the service for others

utv is capped so ppl are restricted so the service will be like eircoms with low pings and high dl rates i suspect

It'll be the same exchange that your telephone line is connected through now. Eircom can tell you which one that is.

I'd imagine that it's just a loaner, same as esat and ntl. I can't see any company just handing out hardware for nothing.

afaik, all the rebundled eircom radsl packages come with interleaving turned on, so the pings with utv should be the same as eircoms. You only get interleaving turned off on an esat exchange. Not 100% on this, but if it is the case, then you won't get as good pings as you do with esat.
