Diplodos was a cartoon I used to love... Brightly-coloured dinosaurs who teleported through space and had special powers... One could shoot sellotape from his mouth as far as I can remember..... Funny, no one else remembers it... I'm just dismissed as insane whenever I bring it up... :D It would have been late 80s, early 90s..... anyone have a clue what I'm talking about? :D

I don't remember it well but I do remember that I used to LOVE it..

Personally I'd love to see it being show again!

I can't believe I've found people who remember the Diplodos! I love you! Any time I ask if anyone remembers them I get a weird look. I've even got the theme tune on MP3. It's cool.
I loved Bubble. They were all so cute.

I know these arent even nearly exact but its probably been well over ten years since Ive seen this thing.......

Two school kids, peter and joan
they went out on their own.

they had a double mission with evil at its worst
But the diplodos are gonna save the earth!

    dee dohdohdohdooooh dOOOooo

    doo doo
    deee deeededeee
    dii dii dii dii diiplododooOOooOs
    <repeat>

Great show, the blue guy was a stapler, the red fatty one the bu_bble blower, the yellow/greeny pterodactyl guy was a scissors, and the big taller red/orangy guy was the sellotape guy I think.

I even rememebr the episodes, blackhole up at the north pole shrinks the earth and makes the diplodos home planet huge (different dimensions, what happens in one, the reverse happens in the other).

Then there was the extra sun to heat up the planet, and the other one I remember was the bread that everyone kept eating that made you ultra fat but you could just keep on eating it.

    Ah classic stuff.

I am so glad I've finally found people that remember this cartoon! I grew up in Hong Kong and I thought it was just a far east thing!
You have to see this site:

They have a few cool remixes of the opening sequence. Knock yourselves out!

I used to LOVE Diplodos, and now looking back it just seems so weird!! So the characters were all basically just stationery?? Who comes up with this stuff??

I always wondered if that show wasn't a marketing tool for a range of themed stationery the way a lot of cartoons are there just to sell stuff.

    No, it wasn't.
Jean Chalopin had already sold DIC and got back to France when he made that one. No more toys to sell.

The theme song has a line:
'Possess amazing powers, useful in their daily life' . . erm .... Bow all before my awesome stapler and sellotaping powers ha ha ha .

I remember this show . It was great :)

You've no idea how long I have been trying to remember the name of the Diplodos. For years all I had to remind me they existed was a vague image of a yellow bird/ship thing, that was it. I am so glad Ive found them again, hah! oh and yeah ppl thought I was crazy too. I used to rush home from school to watch them. They were on at 3pm on The Den:)

Yeah diplodos rocked but does anyone remember all of their names. I remeber a pterodactyl named scissors but other than that I can't remember the other ones.

Can't for the life of me remember any of their names but do remember watching this a lot as a kid.
If I remember right the cellotape spitting one was rather mischevious and fun.:)

I remember being about four or five years old and loving this programme. But that love almost killed me. I drank so much washing-up liquid one day so I too could blow bubbles big enough to lift people... I swear I can still taste it!!
