After reading about 4 threads which are all about 5 pages long on average, I feel sick and weary that there isnt a product in all the ones available that I can clearly go for...

all im looking for is faster / cheaper internet , with good pings and good download rates..

I dont want it so i can "download the whole damn internet onto my computer" I just need a nice service.. that gets rid of this stupid 56k modem and its bills, and it tying up the lines..

For god sake what is rong here..

Where should I go for this service?

    I mean..

Netsource :: Complete rubish atm it appears.. 200 pings and 10k dloads. (other wise looks lovely on paper)

Eircom :: Expensive, and 12 month contract, (im looking for a shorter contract due to me not being home all the time .. months at end)

Esat :: Same deal as eircom.. +modem belonged to east, not sure of quality serve due to it not been released yet.

Ugh... I was soo excited to getting netsource now with it gone all messy I just am shear dissapointed.. I thought I saw light.

a GOOD service you say you want?

in case you've forgotten, we're living in Ireland here, not some fancy-pants high-tech country like uhhh...i dunno............brazil or nigeria.

    but anyway since you asked.........

theres also UTV ADSL, basically the exact same as Esat, but it costs €1.50 per month less.

and then theres IBB (south dublin only), irishWISP (south dublin only), NTL (south dublin and a small part of lucan only), LEAP (south dublin only, with a tiny bit of the northside within range)................lol see a pattern?

and then theres satellite................expensive, and crap pings.....

you might want to check the IrelandOffline forums for more information, but to be honest, I think your only chance of getting a half-decent service any time soon is if you go to another country.

Limerick Limerick City Castletroy Eircom Netsource
Limerick Limerick City Dooradoyle Esat BT Netsource
Limerick Limerick City Roches Street Esat BT Netsource

^^ two of the limerick exchanges have esat bt, if you're on them you can get 512k uncapped with 20ms pings. It's about 100 euro inc vat per month though. Best package for adsl in country though. Personally I'm still going with netsource, hoping they'll sort their shít out. If not I can always change after 2 months.

Yea true taz about the 2 months thing .. only proplem is the initial charge is like €100 inc vat (self install) and then €67 inc vat per month.. thats like around €300 in hopeing netsource will sort them selves out :/ oh and u have to buy a dsl modem, thats not to bad though cus it will come in handy in the future.

Don't forgot theres the IOL BB offer for €140 (€50 more) and you own the modem. I havn't seen it on the site, only on the app form.

u dont own the modem with IOL, you only have the use of it for the duration of your contract.

If I can get it I'm swapping from Netsource to esatBT bizz in a month, getting rapidly fed up. Might be a bit more pricy but all I want is good quality BB!

Guess you got ~1 month to win back my opinion Netsource.
