The product you are referring to is not launched yet - the site will be completed on Friday and testing will commence. I expect that active sales should happen soon after tests are done - and the range from the site decided according to the available product sets.

With Respect to Waterford - no IBB there - and do not know of any other WISP there.

It is being trialed off 3 Rock - testing should commence Friday or Monday - no launch date is set until the system is commisioned, tested and trialed.

The product is called Ripwave and IBB sales persons will have more detail once testing is completed.

It will most likely be rolled out through Dublin after the initial tests ensure that it does fit into the current business model.

You lot are chucking the Alvarion kit Chaz! Some users would gladly upgrade to Ripwave

No - Alvarion is not being 'chucked'

Other issue that must be remebered - is that the 2 products are designed for separate market segments. Each has its differences in what it can do, how it can do it, what it costs and where it is or will be available.

The Ripwave trail is being done off 3 Rock.

any comment on the suggestions that you'll be using illegal power levels with that new 3rock transmitter? I pick up enough noise from 3 rock as it is. I don't see how you can be remotely legal, but feel free to correct me.

This is the one of the few publicly usable spectrums, it'd be a serious loss if commercial
    providers started abusing it.

I hope that the ripwave specs have mislead me and you'll be suitably attenuating the base stations and also the cpe's.
