i could have a shower, scrub well, put on a clean t-shirt and within minutes have huge sweat marks under the arms, its emabarrassing as well as annoying,

ive tried loads of antiperspirants and none seem to matter,

if im kind of nervous or anything it gets a lot worse,

sometimes then im ok and dry but this is usually while alone,

    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

anyone else suffer from this infliction?????????

Get thee to a doctor. There's an operation which takes care of it easily enough.

Are you overweight and/or unfit? Both of these can cause sweating.....

If not, maybe its a medical condition? I don't know... I'm not a doctor....

well im most likely unfit, but not overweight, apart fromt the belly area,

and i sweat sitting down, its not from exertion that causes it,

if i was running or something i wouldnt even sweat as much,

i might mention it next time i see a doctor,
dont wanna book, pay and queue for a doctor to tell me theres an operation i can have thatll help but it costs a grand or something

you can get injections in your under arm area that will dry up the skin for up to 6 months.
cost about 500 quid a pop though.
probably done somewhere like tha blackrock clinic

    hello!

have you ever tried to use an anti perspirant especially forulated to deal with excessive sweat? my friend had a similar problem and used a product called "Driclor" you have to ask for it at a chemists. it worked great for my friend...worth looking into maybe?

if that fails, i would say go and see the doc like the others said. sure we are not experts, there are even stronger anti perspirants on prescription and he'll be able to tell u bout these.

ps...drink loads of water or u'll get dehydrated :-P

    Whehe !

I remeber reading that most Hollywood actors at The Oscars have Botox injected into the palms of their hands to stop em sweating..so that they dont give people sweaty handshakes..

    Mindless Trivia.

Get yourself to your Doctor I used to suffer from very heavy perspiration because I was too hot all the time I used to wear T-shirts outside in the middle of Winter:rolleyes: But I waited untill my hands started shaking before I went to the Doc, Turns out I had Graves Disease for years which was getting worse. Point i'm making is it could be a symtom of very many things so see your Doc ASAP don't leave it like I did all that got me was a three week stay in Hospital after waking up in ICU with my last memory standing in the queue in out patients waiting to see the consultant and not feeling very well.

It's a genetic condition which causes your immune system to attack your thyroid gland which in turn causes your metabolism to run out of control the main symptoms are sweating, trembling, very rapid pulse, weight loss, but there are lots of other symptoms. if untreated the condition eventually escalates into a Thyroid Storm which is what happened to me in the waiting room in hospital (Right place at the right time) The condition itself is not curable so I had my thyroid gland destroyed by radioactive iodine therapy which means I have to take synthetic thyroid hormone every day for life no big deal though 1 small tablet a day. Thats why it's important not to put things off when it comes to your health.

I recommend getting yourself in good physical condition before you get any injections, ops or whatever. Regular exercise will not just help you physically but it balances your hormones as well ie. your moods and anxiety.

So which one is worse constantly sweating around people all the time or getting yourself down to the gym and into some sports? The choice as they say is yours.

Use Brut anti perpirant, I have the same thing as I am three stone overwight. Dricolour works aswell as one of the other posters pointed out, talk to a doctor aswell, its probably an overactive sweat gland

There's a prescription medicine out there (the name escapes my memory) but I liken it to a bingo dabbler, that is applied topically to the under arm that actually shrinks the sweat glands.

pediamed is good for feet - but not armpits.

Seriously - sweating due to nerves should also affect your feet too whereas localised sweating is probably temperature related.
One of the functions of blood is as a heat exchanger - so make sure you're not wearing too much elsewhere and loose fitting.

And most people don't drink enough water...

Have you tried muscle shirts (ie. sleeveless tee shirts..) ?
