Malcolm McLaren - "Something's Jumping in my Shirt"

    ... or maybe not...

    --

Although I love the song, I wouldn't have Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" ... because it's religious, and I'm not.

Probably go with Strauss' Blue Danube Waltz.

    Because it's lovely. :D

he's actually serious. im coming as a banana.

Pink Floyd - Echoes, and at that point a tray of pre-rolled spliffs would be passed around amongst the guests followed by a live DJ set.

The Sky is a Landfill - J. Buckley
we circle around the park, joining hands in silence
and watch the evil black the sky
the storm has ripped the shelter of illusion from our brow,
this power is no mystery to us now.

not really appropriate but it is my favorite song so what the hell.

    or New Years Prayer
stand absolved behind your electric chair, dancing.
past the sound within the sound.

So ? I wouldn't be religious either but its an amazing emotional song and thats the reason I'd want it played.

My choices would be 'Heroes' by David Bowie and 'Breakfast' by the Associates.

Oh, and Scuzzy, The Lion Sleeps Tonight is not by Paul Simon, it's by a crap 80s band called Tight Fit - they're not *real* African singers in there, just pretend ones. But your mistake made me giggle - it's a testament to the earnestness of PS's foray into African music that people confuse it with lightweight pisstake African music.

btw .... the tune for "the lion sleeps tonight" was ripped from Adam and the Ants....from the prince Charming album, called S.E.X.

sorry, I'm getting off the point.

another popular one would be "nights in white satin" - moody blues
