Both L2 and R2 not working as they should.
Inky noticed when one of the kids got Astrobot which requires both to be pressed to pass through a level.

Tried another controller and works fine so that ruled out a bug with the console or game.

Reset controller, blew out with compressed air etc

    Out of standard warranty.

Any fixes or is it new controller time?

Well certainly write an email to Sony customer support and let them know how annoyed you are with the quality of their controllers and that they need to address the issue and stop taking their customers as mugs.

If the button isn't registering a press at all then it's probably a fix beyond your standard troubleshooting.

But The controller is really easy to open to get at those triggers. It might just need a good air blast from the right angle. You can also test the springs didn't break. Often they snap and might be stuck in it.

I couldn’t find an email for their customer support. It must be hidden on their site on purpose.

I’ll try the tear down as the 2 buttons are registering inputs but just doesn’t allow passing through the level finish.
