Well guys I'm thinking about trying one of these but I can decide which one. Obviously ill only get results from the effort I put in. I'm landing more towards insanity does anyone have any experience with either of these, if so how did ye get on.

    Both very intense
Insanity is whole body exercise and you don't need any equipment
P90X has arm/leg etc day, you will need some weights /bar
Make sure you eat properly and have rest/recovery days
    Hope that helped

Cheers ye I think I'm swaying towards insanity. Just to obliterate the fat it's suppose to be very good for that.

I've only done P90X2, but its not vastly different to P90X. All three (P90X, X2 and Insanity) are similar in that they are high intensity workouts. Depending on where you are starting from, they can be very tough. But well worth it.

As you say you get what you put in. If you were in the gym putting in a similar effort and had a good understanding of what you were working out, you'd get similar results, they aren't a magic formula. But if you're like me and need a good routine to motivate you during the workout, and want to follow direction on what exercise work on what muscles etc, then they are for you.

I like P90X2 because of the variation in it from day to day, and the different phases, you can spend as long as you want in each phase until you;re ready to move on to the next one. I found it great for muscle definition and toning. I dropped from about 16% to 8% body fat following the course from start to finish.

Just do one you like. I really like working out to Tony Horton, others find him annoying. Find one you like and stick with it. Lots of pain and lots of gain!

Well done Paul fair play I'm sure you are delighted with yourself and rightly so.
Is the diet and eating plan hard to adjust to.
Hope you keep the weight off.
