Congratulations to him and the best of luck if he does get it, even after what happened at Liverpool.

Wonder will he be calling up Konchesky? :pac:

The media will tear him apart.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I'd imagine that either a) Harry has turned it down or b) he wouldn't give them a definitive answer within the time frame they wanted.

I'd find it hard to believe that he wasn't their first choice ahead of Hodgson.

Blargh. A few weeks back, I was saying to people that if I had money, I'd put it on Roy to be the next England manager. Never bothered to though :/

Be interesting to see if the big players perform for him. I have my reservations.

He hasn't been approached (at least not yet) according to the FA

Of course they're not going to say he has.

The win over Liverpool gave him the advantage over 'arry.

RAWK will go into absolute meltdown in 3...2....1

He could take the West Brom job.

Yes, it will all culminate with the series finale ending with Konchesky getting a call up for the final squad.

Wonder if Big Sam turned them down thinking he was going to be offered the Barca job.

He isn't the players first choice and the media won't be happy with him in the job instead of their mate 'Arry. He's in for a very tough task.

Have to say I feel sorry for West Brom in all of this though. They're now back to square one and there's not many decent managers for mid-table teams to take at the minute.

Best of luck to Roy all the same, he's a decent bloke. If I was to call it though I say he's out of the job before World Cup 2014.

I very much doubt the FA would go behind clubs backs talking to managers under contract. Think of the potential ****storm if they got caught out. It'd be lunacy.

LOL at 'arry if Spurs fail to get top 4 and all his best players leave
(Thats Bale and Modric!) and there he is still stuck at Spurs

I reckon he could get them playing well. They seem like a team that would be suited to he's style of play. Whether that will work against other teams who knows. Big risk tho because if he fails he will probably be torn apart again, right now he is in a comfy position

Liverpools loss is obviously Englands gain ;)

Harry is obvious dilly dallying about giving them an answer. The FA have decided to pressure him into making a decision by publicly announcing they are looking elsewhere. There's not a hope Harry won't be the England manager. The FA aren't silly and Harry wants the job.

    Heard it here first.

Was really beginning to like West Brom and they had a great season. If he goes I hope it doesn't affect them badly as they are well on their way to establishing themselves as a regular PL club.

Still though, can't see them doing much at euro's regardless of who they get

he will suit england more than harry would imo plus he has international experience and got switzerland to the world cup, he puts more emphasis on defending than harry does and defending deep is englands only chance of doing anything at the euros, with harry in charge they would be too open and get cut open by the better teams,

He is a great choice, and pleased if he gets the job. Did fantastically well with Finland, and nearly qualified them for a major tournament and got the Swiss going really well. His record at a midtable teams like West Brom, Fulham and Liverpool is irrelevant to international management.

Wonder will he be conservative in squad selection? Or take a risk or two. Hard to know with him, some very big calls to be made

So Spurs recent slump was either down to them bottling it more then 'Arry leaving for England and the Euros.

Its better for Spurs as they can continue to build under 'Arry. Not good for WBA as hes really done a good job there.

The FA didn't approach Spurs or Harry at all.

I think England will have to accept that they can't go blow for blow with the best nations in the world now, and so someone like Hodgson who can lesser their effect (as he does with West Brom and did with Fulham) could well do a job there, but I'm sure the media and fans still think that they are good enough to play like Brazil 1970

Yeah because teams never go through slumps, even the mighty Chelsea had a pretty major slump this season didn't they?

If he gets it then I hope he does well. I think its unfair to judge him based on his performance at Liverpool alone. It just wasn't a good fit.

Coached Switzerland at 1994 World Cup and was in charge of Finland from 2005 to 2007

that's why he is getting it.
