yup, diet was the big factor for me. I really thought gorging on carbs was healthy before...

I went to Will Heffernan's gym for 5 months or so. That made more difference to me than anything I've ever done.
Then I got lazy and they moved premises so now I'm back to square 1. Moron

    Cardio

It has improved my well being, strength and body composition and i regret not doing it more often earlier in my training. I thought early on it would have negative impacts on strength and size gains, how wrong i was.

For me: dedicating 6 months to structured training.

The particular routine (531) is not as important as being consistent. It could have been 5x5, west side, etc.

CornFlakes and chin ups. Dam that didn't sound so cool.
    How about Steak and Dead-Lifts?

Probably my increased conditioning. My weight's down, energy levels are up, I recover quicker and can train more frequently as a result.

I was unemployed for a few months at the start of the year. It gave me loads of free time to train and eat properly.

    Getting my cholesterol checked.

What a shock, I thought I was in great shape, and I was in great shape... Except my bad cholesterol was really high and my good cholesterol was really low.
It was a major shock to hear I was actually at "high risk".

Anyway I'm on the road to fixing it now. Bad chol is now into the good range and I'm working on getting the good cholesterol up a little more.
