Ok, i've been meaning to start this for a while.
, Not sure its the best idea after todays hulabaloo, but lets see. Reading "Strength and conditioning interogations" by alwyn cosgrove.
Lyle McDonald has this to say

AC: What is the most counter-intuitive tip you can give us for fat loss?

LM: Probably has to do with refeeds (periods of deliberate carbohdyrate overfeeding
where you break your diet): the leaner you get, the MORE often you need to break
your diet to keep it moving forwards. In both The Rapid Fat Loss handbook and A
Guide to Flexible Dieting, if you compare the recommendations for free meals,
refeeds, or the full diet breaks, they are performed more frequently for leaner
individuals. This is because someone trying to from 10% to 8% bodyfat, their body is
fighting back much harder than the person going from 30% to 25%. So while
someone at 30% bodyfat may only be refeeding once every 10 days, someone at 8%
may be refeeding every 4th day to keep metabolism from shutting down too much.
During one of my own most succesful diets, I was refeeding for 5 hours every other
    day towards the end.

Personally I think there is something in this - this week has been bastard for me, due to dodgy working hours etc..
I ended up getting a bag of chips and a few beers on Tuesday and a Chinese takeaway last night.
I am now visibly leaner today then i was on Monday - now I know this isn't sustainable and takeaway food is all kinds of bad for me - but do you think there is something in deliberately over feeding every few days?
I'm guessing my body fat is about 10% abs are just showing - losing the last 2% has been damn near impossible, unless I binge eat on junk food icon_e_confused.gif

    Thoughts?

Sounds very interesting. Afraid I've no personnal experience to add here tho, unfortunately. The lowest BF % I have got to is 17.95.

It does seem to be very hard shift this last little bit of fat - I think he only thing i can do is try it fo a while.
Over eat on carbs maybe twice a week and see what happens

There is science around periodically refeeding your body after a period of low carb or low calorie dieting however you have to eat the the right types of food specifically high glycemic carbs to achieve this.Alcohol actually diminishes the effect so beer should have no place on a refeed day

The following is quite informative on the subject

Has to be good for mental health. I find dieting for any kind of prolonged period really grinds you down.

I dont mind it too much - I like what I eat and im rarel hungry.
Its been harder to keep motivated at times, as i feel like i could finish now and be happy with what i have done.
    The quest will continue though
