Fat yet don't weight much. Don't understand

Any advice appreciated here. I'm starting to get realy frustrated.

I wasn't in the best of shape last year so like lots of people I started training like a mad thing in January. And unlike a lot of people who join gyms in January.I kept at it.

    Im 24, weigh 62kg and am 5ft 10" tall.

I do cardio(45-50mins) 6 days a week and run 9km 3-4 days a week. I love going runnning and trying to improve my times.
I can't realy do any more training. You can't fault me for effort.
I do weights once or twice a week but its not something I enjoy. I would be pretty weak and don't have much muscle.

    Typical diet:
    8am: Porridge/Low fat milk/ 1 Pro-biotic yoghurt
    1pm: 3 pieces of fruit/One organic yoghurt
8pm: Possibly a bowl of soup. Usually 2 yoghurts.
Its nearly always under 1000 calories a day.

At 62kg, I doubt you could call me overweight but I've a lot of fat around my backside despite all my effort.

I put up with a few smart comments about my fat ass in work. It's crazy cos my friends in work are constantly eating chips and drinking coke yet they don't have any problems.

Embarrasing to write this but dont laugh, just looking for advice.
I'm very embarresed about my present physical shape.

What should I be doing differently?
    Any advice would be great.

You need to have some protein in your diet and less is not always better when it comes to calories. Currently your body is clinging to every bit of fat reserves that it has due to your extreme lifestyle.

It's crazy to be going 7 hours after only eating fruit and yoghurt, that's a light snack for most people. Have a brown bread sandwich with some meat or cheese with your lunch.

Similarly for dinner, bring it forward to 6 or 7pm and have something more substantial. There's a lot to be said for the "irish mammy's" dinner.

With a more substantial diet, you should start to put on muscle, especially on your legs (which seem to be your active duty area). The leg muscle alone will probably cause you to gain an extra stone or two while causing you to burn fat. Also, doing a few upper body weights in the gym shouldn't be as much of a chore.

Yup up your protein intake and also i think you'd benefit from some good weights work don't let it get you down everyone had to be a beginner sometime and as your strength increases so will your muscle which'll boos your metabolism which in turn will help you burn fat.

ye get some more food into you, with some good protein and some more carbs sources as your body is probably in starvation mode and just hanging onto all the fat it can. Also try and cut down on the yoghurts especially the pro-biotic ones as they don't really have any health benefits and they are just full of sugar to cover up their otherwise awful taste.
Also try and do some low intensity exercis in the morning as your routine seems to be more aimed at high intensity workouts that aren't as effective as burning of fat

    That is pretty skinny for your age/weight/height. I'm 24, 5 foot 7 and 68kg.

ah, but your muscles get bigger and stronger the more you workout.Chances are your strength work isn't being done properly, and that's why you don't enjoy it too much. The stronger and more active your muscles are, teh leaner your body will be.

 that's what a bloke your size could eat for breakfast!!!

You should be aiming for a minimum of 2000-2500 calories a day, and probably more if you do strength work. As was rightly pointed out, on a low calories diet your body clings to what little sustenance it gets. Eat more my man, lots more. And keep the porridge- breakfast of kings. LOTS of protein (lean meat, nuts, sees, pulses, fish, eggs), complx carbs (wholemeals, grains- these keep your body energised), lots of vegetables (like vitamin and mineral factories, packed with antioxidants too)... just eat.
