    Is nobody having any of the issues im having? Random disconnects, delayed effects of bullets on zombies and other survivors, ridiculously long loading times and also I was wandering around cherno on the boards server and none of the high value residential loot spots have any loot! Not even tin cans. I went to 6 different ones and found nothing. I give up.

    Yeah that's what I was talking about. The good news is that the zombies are much more blind at night now.
    So if you know the looting areas around the towns log into a server in darkness. Loot up and then log back to a day time server.

    They do. And there's a random chance coded in where one Z will spot you from way off. Which is just irritating, since there's little to no skill involved in stealthing in/out of a location now.

    Anyone else find the frame rate terrible? My laptop is a beast and plays almost anything on max but I found encountering a few Zeds together and it choked up in a big way!

    First thoughts on the game so far anyway
    The Good:
    - Its easy to let yourself get immersed
    - Love the way the terrain is laid out
    - I like the way the Zombies can sprint after you!
    - very intense and seemingly realistic experience

    The Bad:
    - definitely not user friendly interfaces, using items seems to be overly awkward
    - very glitchy but i suppose that's to be expected
    - Haven't had much chance to experience combat yet. At the moment my fighting style is just run into buildings and hiding to get away from Zombies. I think it should be a little easier to get your hands on some sort of basic melee weapon

    Think ill give it a break for today. Maybe give it another go tomorrow, see if I can figure some more of the game out!

    First time I actually found some stuff.Got a crossbow,loads of ammo and some food and then I fell off a fecking roof.

    Why do I keep going back for more punishment.

    Its the Arma II engine,even high end PC's struggle at times.

    Same goes for the interface,might be worth a look on youtube for guides on using the backpack,will save you losing a gun because of it.

    For weapons,barns and deerstands. Once you have a decent weapon look for downed choppers.


    For the comment on losing a czech backpack,
    I lost a coyote backpack,m4 cco,as50 and other gear earlier. Don't know how i didnt kill him,landed a grenade about 10 foot away from him and shot him twice,still managed to kill me.
    Ah well.

    Some serious desync going on. I died a few minutes ago and when I went to respawn, I was in the same spot with the same gear as when I logged in. I'm looking at my body with the same gear. :confused:

    Yea. The IE servers seem to be the only ones Ive played on that have almost constant red/yellow chain. :( ...

    Watching some fools in Electro at the mo. Zombies running through walls, players teleporing everywhere. Bit mad !

    What's up with the lack of loot on the boards server? Been to two very lucrative loot spots and hadn't so much as an empty can... Guess I'll go somewhere else for the night :(

    I've tried a few times to play this tonight but get stuck on a loading screen for ages, then I give up :mad:. Does anyone else have this problem? I have version 1.7.2 & am using six launcher to play.

    You should try using the Six Updater. I find it very useful and should have little (maybe still the odd one) trouble getting into games.

    Have you ticked beta in Six updater?

    Boards seems to be the only server i get onto,
    Im running 1.7.2 Arma II beta 94700

    I have to say, the zombie vision in recent patches is ridiculous. They spot you from bloody miles away and makes looting towns too much of a chore. The only way is to prone through everything and thats slow, boring and removes all tension.

    I like the fact that you can lose zombies chasing you. Thats good but the zombie vision is bordering on broken at the moment. Sooner a fix comes, the better.

    So I got dayz there a few hours ago and its pretty good. I got shot in the back while climbing down a ladder:(. Im having a problem I cant play Operation Arrowhead anymore? Anyone have this problem? Something about 3d 9 graphical error :confused:

    Did you disable the Dayz mod before you fired up OA?

    Well, if you have Combined Ops there should be an 'Expansions' option in the main menu. You can enable/disable mods in there.

    The one thing i dont like about the latest patch is that those hunting towers seem to be constantly guarded by zombies now. Pretty sure they were always hassle free in the past.

    The deer stands alwats had military zombies around them,usually 3 to 4.

    Anywhere that loot is possible to spawn will also spawn zombies.

    There has always been 2-3 zombies around the deer huts.
