I need a line6 toneport ux8 repaired, dunno where to go with it. I think its something really simple, like a fuse or some wiring. It's not powering up, but crackles slighty when i connect the kettle lead, also smells a little plastic melty... short circuits perhaps?

That's not a good sign, there may be irreparable damage. Hopefully not though.

There is no need yo send it back to Line6 if its under a year old, you have the right to bring it back to where you bought it and they can pay for sending it back to Line6 for you

so it looks like i need to replace the "pico" fuse inside.

If it uses a "kettle lead" (aka IEC power cord) then I doubt there's a fuse inside the unit as there's normally one in the plug. The best suggestion is to bring it back to the store you bought it from and have them repair / replace it.

its just out of warranty.... thats the problem, im gonna take it back to line 6 and pay for repairs insted of risking doing damage.
