Incredible this beginner was allowed make such a reckless line down the middle of this weir when it's a deep re-circulating one. No rescue set up and the guy with the camera seems to freeze and not know what to do. The girl is in the washing machine for quite a long time.

Completely avoidable I think.

Serious muppetry from 'rescue.' They're lucky nobody was killed.

For some of the more experienced guys here what would your approach be to leading the group over this feature and dealing with girl in the stopper?

one word. dont.
when leading a novice group on a river 1. know the river like the back of your hand, and know the strengths and weaknesses of each member of the group as well as you can. 2. imagine all the worst case scenarios that could possibly happen on the trip. 3. plan as if they will all happen all together.
this is how i view it, and it works for me.
