Was hoping no-one had said this yet so allow me:

    * cough cough *

Attack your Attic with a STIRA!

    ....

PS - i'm aware many attics are afraid of being attacked violently by Stira's so i think we need to address this well-publicised concern. I've taken the first step and am planning to start up the non-profit organisation, AAS (Attics Against Stira)!

Yeah and all to disguise their little optical illusion. The next time you watch it, look closely. You never actually see her passing through the opening at the top with the golf clubs on her shoulder. They show the action replay of her going up the stairs several times. Then switch to the camera in the attic and she's magically through the opening stepping into the attic.
Why? Because it is a cnut to get anything bulky through the opening at the top of a stira (especially on your shoulder) without strangling yourself.

But she looks delira? I got one installed a few years ago and have the same problem. It's a pantomime trying to bring an average size box up there, but still better than it was without folding attic stairs. Delira I ain't, but it does make it a tad easier.

The website has it in the downloads section but it doesn't look like it's linked, bastids. Annoying ad.

That ad makes me laugh every time, specially the "as seen on the late-late show!" bit, hell Im 28 and *I* was a kid when they did a 2 minute filler feature on it back then!!

My mother has one, and god, the laughs we have had over the years watching my father (and others) trying to get things up into the attic, damn thing gets in the way and makes the attic opening itself only useable for things half its width! LOL

The LL Show is like the Bible - one tiny mention of anything on the show and it'll be used by fundamentalists for millenia afterwards to justify all sorts of strange behaviour.

Stira Fever, my friends, is just beginning.

You know whats even funnier than still using the Late Late connection 20 years later??

The way yer man says it, "As seen on da laight laight shooow" That ad is like a blast from the past. Its not so much that they still use the late late tagline in their 21st century ad. They are still using the original ad aren't they?. Can someone confirm whether the woman in the ad is wearing 80's fashion and perm?

Its like UTV still has those ads where the conitinuity presenter does voice overs for all the ads and its just a camera still of a print ad. " Murphys Newsagents, still the best shop in Lurgan, for all your milk, bread and magazine needs"

    Its so quaint! :D

What? The narrators beautiful accent, the wonderful pronunciation! I can see him now, petting his sheep, walking down to O`flagherty`s shop to buy a loaf of bread with a pig under his arm. That voice is what started the Stira craze in `03.

    Stira are great.

I'd probably go as far as to say (along with Jack Charlton) it was responsible for kick-starting the Celtic Tiger. Once we could get safe and easy access to our attics we we're free to dream of a brighter future!

    Here it is:

Well obviously to benefit from the stira state of mind doesnt actually require ownership of a stira.
