Does anyone know if the hotspot/tethering function allowed on An Post 15 euro a month? Doesn’t seem to work on a friends phone.

They have instructions on how to set it up on the website for iPhones at least, so I can't see why they'd be against it.

Try adding dun to APN type in settings.
    If APN type currently shows
    "default, supl"
    change it to
    "default, supl, dun"
    or
    "default, dun"

@deezell has more knowledge of Samsung & hotspot with Post Mobile.

No issues with Xiaomi phones after APN setup using settings supplied by An Post. Running IPTV from it no problems.

I have the same issue with my Samsung A52s 5G). I recently contacted An Post mobile, and they informed me they have a long standing issue with all samsung phones. Sounds like they can't fix it or won't fix it. They were extremely coy providing me with any details. Despite what they said, my wife's Samsung phone (A51) works fine. My daughter's Xiaomi works fine too.

Can I ask why anyone is bothering with An Post when clear has better offering nowadays? Price aside, it's Vodafone rather than an mvno? (The same argument could be said of sky but there seems to be issues along with 12 months contract)

'dun' did it for me! Thank you.

Strange that An Post mobile customer support don't know this. They told me mobile hotspot doesn't work for any Samsung phone.

Hotspot works on my wife's Samsung phone without needing to add dun. Whatever the explanation, at least it is fixed now.

I used to be on Vodafone because they were the only ones with decent coverage in my (rural) area. I changed to an Post when I found they use the Vodafone network.

I had to change some settings in my wife's Samsung to get hotspot to work. I looked up the network settings on my Motorola and changed the Samsung to match these.

Would clear not be better as they have 5G and on Vodafone?
