Take a wild guess which judge was involved

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

No prizes for guessing who the judge is but she was remanded on bail pending a report from probation services on her suitability for community service. 21 previous, sounds like a class act.

The justice system in this country needs serious reform, how many years has it been said yet not one political party is proposing it.

Judge Nolan I'm sure lives in a nice safe area far from all the ppl on probation

The rape accusations alone should of got her a tougher sentence IMO. 5 of her kids in care. Thank god they may have a chance of normal life if she's not allowed visit them.

    34, 5 kids, 21 previous convictions.

Shes a woman. Surely, you didn't expect her to get the same sentence a man would.

not saying it's as brutal in severity to the recent murder but its' not a million miles away. The false rape claim is definitely in the "gender violence" category as she wouldn't accuse a woman of same.

I guess he is a homeless man and she is a woman , less traction with the D4 Set so we'll hear nothing from Varadkar or Helen McEntee

It IS a million miles away, by a longshot! Completely unrelated even. The thread title in any case is misleading she was charged with assault causing harm, pleaded guilty, and the case has been adjourned -

Zara McCabe (34) of Brookview Drive, Tallaght, Dublin 24, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to assault causing harm on Fleet Street, Dublin 2 on November 4, 2020.

Judge Martin Nolan adjourned the case to allow for McCabe to be assessed by the Probation Service to determine if she is suitable for community service. He said if found suitable he would order that she carry out 150 hours community service in lieu of a two-year prison term.

i can only assume her accusation helped lead to the suicide ? She should be getting two years at least …. She’s had too many chances already

What a horrible human being. The sentence is a joke when you look at her track record.

I feel for the poor man in this as well, already homeless and then this mutant assaults him, she was only in the news in 2020 for beating up a man with 2 others as well.

Pattern of behaviour here, jail should be the only solution.

    What an absolute scumbag

Wasn’t there two men involved in the assault also? Are their cases not done yet or what happened there?

Surely she’d be better off with a rehab program than community service (and sterilisation)?

Nolan noted that she has recently been gainfully employed and seems to be on an upward trajectory.

    This factored into his decision.

A real pillar of the community she is all right.

Just to be factually accurate - according to the article she didn't accuse him of raping her. She attacked him because she believed her had raped her sister.

She has not yet been sentenced - she could still be imprisoned (and deservedly so).

That is a very, very big assumption - but I presume its the one the OP wanted everyone reading to make, with his thread title.

No one knows why someone commits suicide.

What a absolute coont of a human. One can only hope that as she lives by the sword.... Nolan would want to hurry up and retire, because no one has the balls to tackle him and he's doing absolutely no service to this country.

Ah Jesus, what a sad end to that mans life and he'll get no justice.

The fact of the matter is, that if this was a man who assaulted a homeless woman who later died by suicide, every media outlet and Politician would be nonstop talking about the case, an angry mob would have been outside the court.

Mental health issues too according to that so a court is going to lean towards a noncustodial sentence.

All I see is it getting worse. The social welfare system needs reforms to actually motivate people to change their lives.

  • Agree, it's becoming a generational thing. Generations of useless popping out uselell. Each generation more brazen than the last.

Its highly inappropriate that you paint the life of a dead man as being somehow lesser in this respect as he might have had issues compared to a person with a litany of previous convictions. On one hand you have a woman whom has mental health issues and knows full well her actions are illegal and yet a homeless man died after the assualt but you cast aspersions on him? Its in poor taste.

That aside yes the woman does need help of sorts and prison is not the right place unless she is getting intensive treatment
