    Got one of these link for a present.Now the other night a mate of mine had a virus on his Pc,so he asked me to do a format but before I did could I grab his digital pics off his.I used the media box as you can use it for that purpose also.

    So when I went to look at a movie the other night every folder I had on it was jumbled up to bits and I couldnt play a movie.So I plugged it into Pc and it was there in spirit but not by a letter.

    So basically I went into disk management and tried to allocate it a letter but it wouldnt let me.So before I formatted it I did a recovery of the pics on the media box for my mate and it worked,yay! I did a format and it was grand until I put on a movie on it.The main screen came up on Tv "ROOT" but the folder I put onto it through pc were not showing up on Tv,aghhhh!

    Anyone any ideas,that link to website doesnt have drivers to do with the media box.

    Thanks

    Obviously Im after deleting what plays the movies,so if anyone on boards has a device like this,maybe goto main root on Pc of the device and click Tools/Folder options and click show hidden files.

    Maybe even if possible copy it onto a cd for me or tell me name of files,would much appreciate it. :(

    Another question,I formatted it NTFS but I think originally it was Fat 32.I tried to re-format it but it wouldnt give me the option of Fat32.Anyone know how to go about formatting this device back to Fat32?

    If all else fails you should be able to format it on the command prompt
    Format X: /FS:FAT32 /Q

    Root - sounds like linux or something so hopefully it's just that it can't read
    NTFS

    It's still a BASIC disk and not a Dynamic disk ?

    Thanks for replying,

    I'm hoping that as you say it cant read the NTFS,which is why I'm trying to get it back to Fat32.I'm not sure about it being basic or dynamic to be honest.Its basic.

    @Capt'n Midnight

    Like I said got the format going after I dropped the /q. It went to the full 100% format,but it is still NTFS.Will try the other way like I said.

    Thanks for the help.
