Darwinia(http://www.darwinia.co.uk). It is a brilliant game. It's original and, to use PCGamer UK's words, "slightly religious." Your main unit, the Squad, does nothing unless you take control, which is like the controls in Cannon Fodder(left click moves, right click fires, left while holding down right throws grenade). Your builder is a huge floating clamping thing from Tron. The airstrike droppers are space invaders. There are enemies from Catapillar. And the darwinians themselves are incredible Lemming-like. They're even green. It's a simple, yet gorgeous game, made by Introversion, the same people who brought you hacker-sim Uplink, and whose permanent staff is four(six made this game: the Introversion guys, and two outside sound engineers). The darwinians are 2D stickmen, while the trees are so beautiful that they make all but the fastest PCs slow down when you get close enough.

It's a game that the people looking for originality in games conviniently "overlooked." It's been critically acclaimed by Gamespot(8.5), PCReview.co.uk("Simply has to be played"), PCGamer UK(90%), IGN(88%), DIY Games(5 stars) and Gamers Hell(9.0), yet it is selling very badly. Why this is, I don't know.

I recommend you buy this game. Buy it in Game or download it from Introversion. But this game deserves to be played. It is brilliant.
