Whispers In The Jungle *Spoilers for C4 Viewers*

    Ok, since this has already happened in both the US and the IRL episodes, I'm going to assume its not spoilerish, and fit for this board in all its glory. Bear with me while I explain the background to this latest find. One of my work colleagues is German, and because of this he decided to go back and watch the episodes in his native German. When he did this, he was watching a dubbed version. When they remade it for Germany, the also re-dubbed the whispers in the jungle because they were in the script. The thing is, the German versions were a lot more audiable. Some German viewers picked up on what they were saying. Then some of them translated the whispers back into English, and re-watched the originals. Once they kinda knew what they were saying, they managed to piece it back together.

    Here they are, in their entirety:

    Sayid in the jungle...
    ==============

    Man: Just let him get out of here.
    Man: He's seen too much already.
    Man: What if he tells?
    Woman: We could just speak to him?
    Man: No

    Sawyer in the jungle...
    ==============

    Woman: Maybe we should just talk to him?
    Man: No. If he sees us, it will ruin everything.
    Man: What did he see?
    Woman: They could help us.
    Man: We can't trust them.

    It'll come back around.

    Man: What did he see?
    Man: Nothing. He was following it.
    Woman: Speak.
    Man: No.

    It'll come back around.




    Interesting, huh?

    Nice find!

    This backs up one of my favourite theories: the hatch is a system of underground tunnels and large rooms, possibly for meeting areas. I think that there is a ventilation system inside that leads out onto the surface. The people inside must have heard Sawyer and Sayid pass by overhead, and discussions fired up below.

    The men and women underground want different things. The man wants their operation kept quiet while the woman feels that the survivor may help in some way.

    American viewers read on:
    The security system is protecting this operation. It comes up through traps in the ground, that's why you can see all the trees being torn down, they have to make way for the system to emerge from underground and do it's job. Maybe these trees have grown over the areas where the system surfaces, as it hadn't left underground for 16 years, since the last disturbance on the island. (Danielle and her crew ship-wrecking).

    As I was saying, the woman obviously wants to interact with the survivors but the men feel that it would jeopardise their operation. It's something that has to be kept secret. Something do with the government perhaps? I know there is much more to it than that, and that the island is a unique place that couldn't possibly have been made by any government alone.

    Can somebody please give me some feedback, add to this theory, or even completely prove me wrong?
