I want to set up my machines with wireless for the WAN in Tuam.

I would appreciate it if people would share there linux wireless setups, so I could know what hardware to buy and get a feel for how to go about it effectively.

And if anyone is involved in the Tuam WAN, I would appreciate some info and advice.

I checked http://linux_wless.passys.nl/ and it seems your card is not supported by any linux module to date, but I dont know about ndiswrapper. Sorry King Raam.

This is how I got my card working under ubuntu.

Beware, this is a very rough document and needs to be rewritten when I find the motivation.

dammit why didn't I get one of them!
When I type iwconfig, the essid is coming up as empty, even though I have entered it into a few different files.

Could someone (someone who got it working!) post a sample of their etc/network/interfaces file and their etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-wlan0 file?

    thanks a mill
