    Hi,

Looking at a duster, heard bad historical things about them with Rust, seems to be historical and production moved, but would you be

    concerned about this

The bare metal is exposed, looks like some surface rust but it needs to be repaired or it'll eventually rot. That's a diy fix.

That version of duster wasn't as prone to rust like the early version. That looks like something rubbed the paint away, I'd clean it up with some sandpaper and touch it up with some paint

Thanks for the responses, I did read about the rust problems in the initial dusters alright, seems an issue of the past. Thanks

Could your rear wiper be rubbing the paint. I know it looks like it's sitting OK in the pic, but when it's on it might be going down too far?

Or, and I'm not familiar with that car, is that a type of tailgate they you can just open the glass, if so maybe someone is careless loading into the boot and rubbing the paint off?

In any case, you will need to sand back to good metal and get rid of all the rust, then apply rust converter, to be safe, before you apply paint.
